Happy Apple Farm 2014

As we do every year, we went to Happy Apple Farm to pick our pumpkins and get some fabulous fresh apple cider. Unfortunately I only got these two pictures before my camera battery died. The kids had a lot of fun running around the pumpkin patch trying to find the perfect pumpkin. Hayden picked one with warts all over it, Parker’s was nice and round and Audra picked a greenish pumpkin. It kind of looks like Yoda.

Ella’s Ninth Month

Ella is nine months now, and seriously cuter than ever. She says momma and da, she lets go and balances, and she is eating anything and everything. She has one tooth on the bottom, and I can see the other trying to break through. We had a rough few nights because of that tooth, but she seems to be doing a little better now. She loves playing with her brothers and sister and gets really excited to see them. As you can see in a couple of the pictures below, she loves to stick her tongue out all the time!

Audra Turns Four!

Audra turned four on April 28th. Lucky girl got to celebrate her birthday several times! First was her birthday party, then her birthday date with Mommy and Daddy, then her actual birthday when we had the missionaries over for dinner.

Ella’s Third Month

Ella’s more alert now, and loves playing with her brothers and sister. She has the most beautiful smile, and she shares it freely. She’s started sleeping for about 8 hours at a time, which is wonderful. She ends the night with an hour or two of fussiness, but I’ll take it if it means we get to sleep!

Daddy Date

Now that we have four children, I recognize more than ever the need to spend one on one time with each of them. I’ve taken the kids on dates in the past, but never on a regular basis. A couple months ago, Kevin and I decided to go on weekly dates with the kids. We switch off each week, so one week I’ll take one on a date, the next week he will. The kids love it. They talk all week about their upcoming date with mommy or daddy.

This time it was Audra’s turn with daddy…

Ella’s First Month

I can hardly believe it’s been a month already! The boys went back to school a couple weeks ago, so it’s just the girls at home during the day. I’m still taking it easy and cuddling Ella as much as possible. Kevin has been a wonderful help with everything (cleaning, shopping, diapering…). With the other babies he was super busy with school and work, so it’s nice to have him around so much this time.

Twirl

Unlike the boys, Audra never minds when I pull my camera out. In fact, she asks for pictures all the time. This time it was “take a picture of me twirling, mommy”. 🙂

The Principal’s Award

Hayden was the recipient of the Principal’s Award in his Kindergarten class last year. They only give one per class, so we were pretty proud! I think he was too, although he doesn’t look too excited in the picture…
